This non-Eucharistic “Quiet Time” service is held on the fourth Sunday of the month and is designed to offer time for space, contemplation and reflection. In our busy lives it can often be otherwise difficult to find the time to spend with God and bring before Him ourselves and our neighbours; our joys and our sorrows; our concerns and our praise. This short service is designed to allow us to be closer to God, and Him with us, and to reflect on His world in which we live.
We are fortunate to be able to offer worship ranging from the traditional to the contemporary; from the Book of Common Prayer to Messy Church and from the noisy to the quiet!
The Quiet Time service is just that – Quiet. It normally begins with an introit or reflective “Taize” style hymn; includes an appropriate anthem sung by the choir and further hymns around readings from scripture, reflections from the minister and prayer.
Space for private thoughts and prayer is provided through periods of silence throughout the service.
